Is this the worst WHOIS of all time? ICANN

Here is the entire WHOIS result for the domain 9rasa.net. No names, no addresses, no phone numbers, just one gmail address. I know the domain is in use, because an ESP (bulk mail provider) sent in some updates saying they're a client.

I realize that the volume of registrations precludes hand-checking all of them, but I wouldn't think it would be beyond the state of the art to automatically check that the name, address and phone spots contain something.

Probably not...
I could easily envision an even worse one... same but with an obviously invalid email address.
